BRUNSWICK — Yolande St. Pierre, 96, of Maurice Drive died Thursday, June 8, at the Dionne Commons.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 9, 1920, the daughter of Amede and Blanche Bernard Juneau. Yolande attended Lewiston and Auburn schools.

Being an excellent seamstress, Yolande helped her sister for many years during the busy seasons of her shop, Lebel’s Bridal Shop in Auburn. For most of Yolande’s life she worked as a stitcher in area shoe shops.

In July 1985, Yolande retired from stitching from L.L.Bean.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur, in 1955; her second husband, Edward St. Pierre, on May 13, 2007; and her daughter, Jane Guimont, on May 9, 2016.

Yolande enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the family camp in the West Forks. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games.

Yolande was a member of St. John the Baptist Church-All Saints Parish.

Surviving is a son, George St. Pierre Sr. and his wife, Doris, of Freeport; two grandchildren, Rosemarie Murphy and her partner, Michael Ashby, of Freeport, George St. Pierre Jr. and his wife, Karen, of North Yarmouth; four great-grandchildren, Sean, Joseph, Joshua and Rachael.
