NORTHERN MAINE — Grant A. Jones, 59, of Norway passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 19.

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on May 28, 1958, the son of Harold and Joyce Peterson Jones. He graduated from Portland High School and attended the University of Maine, Portland/Gorham. He started working in the family business at C.N. Brown and later as manager at Ripley & Fletcher Co. He married Lisa Petersen on May 2, 1981.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hiking with his best friend, Lewis Dow. He loved Tuesdays and Thursdays, spending the days with Emily. He loved to travel and he volunteered countless hours with his wife, Lisa.

He is survived by his wife, of Norway; daughter, Jamie; son, Jeffrey and his wife, Kayla; his parents; his brother, Kurt, and his wife, Allyson Jones; his sisters, Julie and her husband, Daniel Wildes, and Jinger and her husband, David Duryea; a special granddaughter, Emily, and another granddaughter expected in July; his in-laws, Robert and Nancy Maloy; brothers-in-law Dana and his wife, Debbie Petersen, Robby Maloy and James and his wife, Vicki Maloy; sister-in-law, Kristine and her husband, Jack Trull; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Brockton.
