RUMFORD — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free workshop, “Essentials of College Planning,” for adults 19 and older at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at University College Rumford/Mexico, 60 Lowell St.

Pine Tree Quilters Guild meeting 

NORWAY — The Pine Needles chapter of the statewide Pine Tree Quilters Guild meets from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays in the community room of the Norway Town Office, year around.

Both hand and machine quilters are welcome.

There is a schedule of optional activities such as occasional road trips, group projects and monthly trips out for lunch.

Games are played at 9:15 a.m. on Fridays in the the Oxford Recreation building. All bridge players are welcome, and a partner is guarenteed.

Bethel Seniors to meet

WOODSTOCK — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at the Crosstone Restaurant.

The menu is chicken or fish and costs $10. Reservations must be made before Saturday, July 1.
