RUMFORD — Bessey Motors recorded two five-inning shutouts over River Valley on Saturday, earning wins of 11-0 and 8-0. The second game was called off after five innings after rain started to move in.

In the opener, Bessey got off a strong start with five runs in the top of the first inning. Johnny Pruett and Ashton Kennison had a pair of RBIs in the inning. Kennison also had a double in the contest. Brayden Bean had three hits in the game for Bessey.

Bessey scored one in the second, twice in the third and three times in the fourth to finish things off.

Cam Godbois had a pair of hits for River Valley.

In the second game, Hunter Labossiere sparked the offense for Bessey Motors (9-2) with a two-run home run in the fourth inning and finished the game with three RBIs. Janek Lukska also had three RBIs.

Cameron Slicer and Kennison each had doubles in the contest.  Slicer, Labossiere and Kennison all finished with two hits each. 

Luke Lueders had a double for River Valley (3-8).
