GRAY — The popular Chainsaw Wildlife Art display will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at the Maine Wildlife Park, Route 26.
The public is invited to watch and photograph three professionals from Maine carve wildlife images.
Ron Carlson of China began woodcarving in the mid-1960s and enjoyed the hobby until the early 1990s, when a friend introduced him to the chain saw. It became his business in 1993.
Tim Pickett of southern Maine carved the popular bear, turtle and mountain lion at the Maine Wildlife Park.
Dan Burns of the Augusta area specializes in carving bears and birds. He does free-standing carvings as well as stumps.
The artists will also have carvings for sale.
