AUBURN — The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will welcome Chip Morrison as guest speaker from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at the Village Inn.

Morrison has been a member of the business and government services team at Androscoggin Bank since August 2015. He continues to conduct part-time consulting for local organizations.

Two summers ago he was the interim executive director for Maine Make-A-Wish Foundation. In June 2015, he retired as  president of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, a position he held since the fall of 1995.

Prior to joining the chamber, he was city manager of Auburn and commissioner of the state departments of administration and labor. He has a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Michigan.

Over the course of his career Morrison has won several honors, including the Maine Public Administrator of the Year, the Ken Curtis Leadership Award from the Maine Development Foundation, Auburn Citizen of the Year, Maine Chamber Executive of the Year, and 2008 MaineBiz Nonprofit CEO of the year.

Morrison and his wife, Jane, live in Auburn. They have two adult children, Beth and Brett.
