Mixers in Sabattus brings on the laughs at 8:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 4, with three seasoned comedians. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 night. From left, Rob Steen is a high-energy comedian and will bring the whole audience together as a group with his unique style of crowd participation. His act is a mix of situations and observations coming from 21 years of being an entertainer. Steen has been compared to Robin Williams in his fast-paced delivery and quick wit. Mark Scalia is a 27-year veteran of the Boston comedy scene and has entertained tens of thousands of people at comedy clubs, colleges, universities, corporate events, and private venues across the United States and Canada and when Dennis Fogg isn’t working as “owner, bottle-washer, maker-of-sandwiches” at Uncle Andy’s diner in South Portland, he can be found on stage sharing humorous stories about life’s absurd moments and that comedy goldmine we all have in common: family. Mixers is at 136 Sabattus Road. FMI: Call 357-4188.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
