Camp of Rock members voted on the name “Phatt Wazzp” for their 23-member band. The name came about because a wasp came in and out of their recording area through a window all day during the first day of camp.

Brian Gagnon, the music teacher at Fairview Elementary School in Auburn, started Camp of Rock in 2007. 

Leavitt Area High School graduate Angela Daigle, center, came to Camp of Rock on Thursday to record songs for the album that Phatt Wazzp will make during their two weeks of summer camp. Daigle is a past Camp of Rock participant and is now a student at the New England School of Communications at Husson University in Bangor.
