HEBRON — The 32nd annual reunion of the Warren family was held at Hebron Pines on July 16. This is a gathering of the descendants of the later F. Milton and Verlie Warren of Buckfield.

There were 199 people in attendance from Auburn, Augusta, Bath, Buckfield, Farmington, Gorham, Greene, Hebron, Jay, Leeds, Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, Monmouth, Poland, South Berwick, Sumner, Turner, Wells and Winthrop; Deering, New Hampshire; Manchester, New Hampshire; Brockton, Massachusetts; West Bridgewater, Massachusetts; Oberlin, Ohio; Arnold, Maryland; Big Sandy, Texas and some guests from the Bahamas.

The family member that had traveled the farthest distance was John Warren of Big Sandy, Texas. Esther Robinson was the oldest member in attendance. The youngest was Connor James Smith, born on July 5 to Ashley Warren and Bryce Smith of Auburn.

After a brief business meeting, Helen Hadley read two children’s poems, “Little Boy Blue” and “Trees.” Rachel Warren sang “The House that Built Me.” Marie Allen did a humorous reading of “Saltin’ the Pudding.” The Hadley family sang “I’ll Fly Away.”

The annual fundraising auction was conducted by Abe Additon. A quilt made by Mary Grant (the 20th in a series of quilts) was sold for $300. A braided rug made by Esther Robinson sold for $375.

During the past year, the family has celebrated seven weddings, eight births, seven high school graduations, five college graduations, one master’s degree, one member joining the U.S. Navy and 19 members added by way of marriage.

The total family count to date is 466. Next year’s reunion will be held at Hebron Pines on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
