MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library has announced fall hours, effective Aug. 27 to Dec. 30. The library will be closed Sundays and Mondays. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

Children’s story time for ages 2 to 5 and homeschooled students will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays, starting Sept. 2. Story time includes reading aloud as well as a snack and craft, music, science, or dance activity appropriate for theme and participants age. Parental supervision is required.

The Book Café, an adult reading group, meets from 5:45 to 7 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. The second Saturday of each month, the unboxing event for Saturday Sleuths is held at noon. It offers the opportunity to solve a series of murder mysteries through the use of real artifacts and clues through the Mystery Experience Company.

A D&D group meets on Saturdays, and debuting at the World’s Fair event on Saturday, Aug. 19 will be a new monthly program called Taste the World, where participants explore authentic tastes from a different country each month.
