RANGELEY PLANTATION — Three people were injured Sunday afternoon when two motorcycles collided on Route 17.

Jason Zimba, 48, of Sidney was attempting to turn left into the scenic overlook when his motorcycle was struck from behind, according to Deputy Brad Scovil’s report to Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.

Scott Green, 48,  of Webster, Massachusetts, was driving the second motorcycle and had a passenger, Jean Jackman, 44, of Millbury, Massachusetts.  

The second motorcycle failed to see the first motorcycle turning and crashed into it, Deputy Brad Scovil wrote.  All parties were taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with serious injuries, he said.

The accident occurred at about 3:32 p.m.
