• Aug. 23, 4:06 p.m.: Patrolman Austin Couture responded to a crash at Hancock and Maine avenues involving Zandi Noble, 20, of Oxford and Gregory Cushman, 60, of Mexico. There were no injuries. Noble was given summonses on charges of failing to yield at a stop sign and not wearing a seat belt (first offense). She was later arrested on a charge of assaulting Maine State Trooper Jason Wing at the scene.

• Aug. 22, 8:28 a.m.: A report of a burglary and theft from Rumford Elementary School is being investigated by Patrolman Ashley Rich.

• Aug. 21, 5:11 p.m.: Daniel Dionne, 30, of Waldo Street was arrested by Patrolman Rich on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal mischief. Dionne was transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

• Aug. 21, 9 a.m.: Police received a complaint of people taking items from the Hope Association/What Not Shop drop-off area. The items belong to the Hope Association for resale.

• Aug. 19, 9:36 a.m.: Patrolman Couture is investigating the theft of a TV and broken windows at a residence on Erchles Street. The estimated damage is $250.

• Aug. 18, 3:43 a.m.: Jessica Chiasson, 29, of Rumford was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault. She was released on $800 unsecured bail and is to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 23.

• Aug. 16, 5:14 p.m.: Bryan Wood, 27, of Rumford, was arrested on Cumberland Street on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released on $500 unsecured bail and is to appear in Rumford District Court on Oct. 23.
