LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe, 791 Lisbon St., has lined up workshops and a presentation for September.
Heidi’s Health Kitchen: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5. Heidi Tompkins and Ivan Raj of New York City, New York, will give an all plant-based and gluten-free cooking demonstration. Participants will sample Carubella cream pie and Carubies carob truffles. This is free to attend.
“The Truth About Cancer, Episode 3”: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12. This free movie night will look at cancer-killing viruses, stem cells, GMOs, juicing and eating the rainbow. This will be hosted by Fran and Kathleen Szostek. A short discussion will follow the film.
Canning, Drying and Freezing Food: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. This will be presented by Michael and Sonya Tardif, owners of Taste of Eden Vegan Restaurant in Norway. The course is free.
