Pine Cone Chapter, OES, to meet

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner, St.

The chapter will honor the Station of Chaplain. Vincent Noonan, Grand Chaplain, has been invited.

The meeting will be preceded by an Eastern Star Training Award for religious leadership. There will be a supper at 6 p.m. for a donation of $3.

District 4 chapters participating are Pioneer Chapter 11, Lakeside Chapter 60 and Pine Cone Chapter 26. All donations will go to the ESTARL Program.

Pine Cone has the traveling mascot for District 4. All Eastern Star members are welcome.

Center seeks volunteer companions

LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women is seeking volunteer applicants for companions.

The companion role requires women to have a professional background in social work, teaching, nursing, chaplaincy or other related fields, and companions work with local women. The commitment is a half-day weekly.
