LEWISTON — Margaret L. Howes passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 1, at Central Maine Medical Center.

Born in Saco on April 19, 1951, she was the daughter of Albert H. and Arlene Pelletier Sr. Margaret grew up in the Saco area until she married Roy A. Howes on Sept. 23, 1967. They then moved to the Auburn area and finally settled in the town of Turner where they raised two children.

Margaret worked a variety of jobs over the years but mainly worked by her husband’s side in the family business.

She had a great love of being in the countryside, especially the time in Andover. She was an amazing woman with a huge heart and a beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Howes Sr.; children, Lisa Poirier and Roy Howes Jr.; two grandsons, Dustin and Kyle Poirier; and one great-granddaughter, Hailee Poirier, all of Turner; a brother, George Pelletier and wife, Pat, of Saco; a sister, Irene Howard; and husband, Dave, of Oregon.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Albert.
