NORWAY — The McAlister/McAllister family reunion was held on Aug. 13 at the Universalist Church.

Brenda Woods and Dawn McAlister were at the registration desks to greet the family at 9 a.m. Officers for another year were voted to stay the same with the exception of the president, Dawn McAlister, who stepped down in favor of Donald Farr.

The 50/50 was won by Sharon McAlister of Florida. She also won the prize for coming the longest distance. Vira Maillous, 1, of northern Maine, was the youngest to attend and got a prize. The oldest family member present was Virginia McAlister Luneau, age 95. She also won a prize.

There was a program on the early history of East Stoneham, given by two family members. The reunion cake was cut and served by incoming president Donald Farr.

The next meeting will be announced at a later date.
