STAGE RIGHT — Neil Conant, a volunteer at the Oxford County Fair and his assistant Virginia Robinson, prepare to set up the stage lights at the new entertainment stage  on the Oxford Fairgrounds. The 24-foot-deep-by-34-foot-wide stage was constructed by Bancroft Construction Co., KBS Builders Inc., Schiavi Custom Builders and Record Building Supply Inc. using donated labor and materials. Conant said finishing touches won’t be completed until after the fair, which started Wednesday, Sept. 13, and ends on Saturday, Sept. 16. More than 17 musical acts over four nights will use the stage. As of Tuesday, Sept. 12, it was unclear who may replace the planned headliner Montgomery Gentry. Troy Gentry, part of the popular country music duo, was killed last week in New Jersey in a helicopter crash.
