AUBURN — William “Will” Bradford Austin, 28, of Auburn, passed on Wednesday, Sept. 20, unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest at his home with his loving mother by his side. He was born in Brunswick on Sept. 17, 1989, the son of Stephen and Valerie Boltz Austin. William attended Hebron Academy, St. Peter and Sacred Heart School and graduated from Poland Spring Academy, Class of 2008. He continued his education at Central Maine Community College and went on to obtain a culinary certificate from the Green Ladle Culinary Arts School. William had a full and wonderful life even though he was living with Asperger’s Syndrome.

Will worked at Marco’s Restaurant in food preparation. Cooking was his passion. He loved to cook, especially for his family and friends. He always knew the right meal to make for any occasion. Will was a creative and artistic person with a great imagination. He was kindhearted and had a great sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Will traveled extensively but always loved the comforts of his home.

Will also enjoyed painting, drawing, swimming, computers, photography, paintball and card and video games. He loved to learn something new and share it with others. He enjoyed Marco Island, Fla. where he was fortunate to spend time with his mother and Aunt Beverly.

William’s love is his gift to us. Our memories will comfort and keep him in our hearts forever.

Will is survived by his mother, Valerie Boltz Austin of Auburn; his father, Stephen Austin of Auburn; his brother, Jon Austin and his companion, Hannah Shumway of Greene; his paternal grandmother, Althea Austin of Auburn; aunts, Beverly Boltz of Marco Island, Fla., Cindy O’Rourke and husband, Sean of Rockville Center, N.Y. and Cynthia Sloat and husband, Brad of Auburn; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Earl Austin; and maternal grandparents, William and Mary Boltz.
