NEWRY — The 10th annual Aging Well Living Well Expo kicks off on Friday, Oct. 6, with a breakfast presentation by Maine author and inspirational speaker Lee Ann Szelog. Szelog will engage the audience in creating a time capsule.

Featuring workshops and lectures, the day-long expo is a learning opportunity for adults. The expo is presented by SeniorsPlus. It will be held at the Grand Summit Hotel and Conference Center at Sunday River.

Throughout the day, attendees are invited to explore necessary, serious learning, such as Medicare 101 and making your estate plans, as well as first-time explorations like line-dancing, essential oils, and model railroading. The more than 20 workshops to be presented at the Expo cover a range of topics including law, health, exercise, cooking, and art. Workshop titles range from “Antiques and Collectibles,” to “Self Defense and Safety Awareness,” to “Diabetes 101.” Workshops run 75 minutes each.

In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the expo, there will be musical entertainment by the duo Old School.

Tickets for the expo, which runs from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., are $25 per person and include breakfast and lunch, as well as entrance to workshops. Raffle and chondola ride tickets may be purchased for an additional fee. Seats are limited, advance registration is strongly recommended.
