Reception Friday, Oct. 6

FARMINGTON — SugarWood Gallery “Artist of the Month” Suzanne Kelly will be feted at an Open House Reception from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6. The public is invited and refreshments will be served.

Kelly began taking art lessons at an early age in her hometown of Augusta. She furthered her education with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Boston University and began a varied career: teacher, gallery owner and real estate broker. She took a hiatus from the studio for a period of time and found it refreshing to begin painting again a decade later with a more mature look at the world of art.

Over the years she moved from Maine to Massachusetts to upstate New York to New Mexico. She now has a part-time residence in Chesterville. She loves to travel and always has her camera or paintbrush handy.

Her work will remain on exhibit through October and is available for purchase.

SugarWood Gallery is located at 248 Broadway and is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
