SACO (AP) — Authorities in Maine say a 53-year-old man was fatally wounded at a home in Saco.
The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/2xT9HJm) reported Michael Burns, of Rochester, New Hampshire, was shot on an enclosed front porch shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday. State police say the man who fired the gun was a tenant and was not taken into custody. His name wasn’t released.
Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland says two other people were inside the house when the shooting happened. He says they and the tenant who fired the gun didn’t know Burns.
Burns died on his way to the hospital. An autopsy is being conducted.
McCausland says Saco and state police are attempting to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
