STEEP — Members of the Paris Police and Fire departments, along with Russell and Sons Towing, pull a 2005 Nissan Murano out of a steep ravine on Paris Hill Road on Tuesday evening, Oct. 3. Paris Police Officer Bill Cook said Karina Rodriguez of Turner reported she crashed her vehicle Monday, Oct. 2, around 11:30 p.m. after a deer ran out in front of her. She reported it as a vehicle off the road on Tuesday and it was not found until after 5 p.m. “I am going to say speed was probably a factor,” Cook said. The vehicle hit a tree while airborne as it headed north down the hill and around a curve, landing on its side in the ravine below, Cook said. He reminded motorists of the dangers of driving too fast during deer season.
