LEWISTON — Creative Artisans of Maine at Provencher’s has announced its upcoming Festival of Learning events for the fall season. Creative Artisans of Maine is a group of local artists/craftspeople located in one spot for an arts and crafts fair experience.

A Harvest Festival open house will be held from Thursday to Sunday, Oct. 12 through 15.

Scarecrow Competition: Build a scarecrow, name it and deliver it to Provencher’s by Wednesday, Oct. 11. Open house attendees will vote on the winner, who will receive $50. Pumpkin carving and painting will take place all weekend.

Sunday, Oct. 15: From noon to 2 p.m., Chocolate Tasting, Ella’s Chocolates; wine pairing with food; from 2 to 4 p.m., fashion show, Simply Vana’s.

Saturday, Oct. 14: From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Jewelry Making, Tree of Life; Learn wire wrapping techniques and take home a Tree of Life pendant. Instructor, Lisa Marshall, 2 Blue Gems; cost, $45, all tools/supplies included.

From 10 a.m. to noon: Potion Class for Kids Make & Take Workshop for ages 3 to 12 with an adult. Kids get to make their choice of potions while adults learn about the benefits of essential oils. Everyone will go home with the potion of their choice and a coloring page. Instructor, Cheryl Horton, Life in the Raw; cost, $15, all supplies included.

Sunday, Oct. 15: From 2 to 4 p.m., Simply Vana’s Style Show of  fall and winter line of clothing. Some materials are woven in Maine and all clothing is made in Maine.

Saturday, Oct. 28: From 2 to 4 p.m., Mosaic Tiling class. Learn how to make a switch plate cover. Instructor, Rosie Wentworth, Two Zany Duo; cost, $38, all tools/supplies included.

Saturday, Nov. 4: From 10 a.m. to noon, Rustic Wire Wrapped Sea Glass Pendants. Learn basic wire wrapping techniques and turn glass into a wearable pendant. Instructor, Nadine Edris, Moondance Jewelry, cost, $40, all tools/supplies included.

Tuesdays, Nov. 7, 14 and 28: From 6 to 7:30 p.m., Upholstery Workshops. Attendees will learn what tools and fabric need to be used, start and complete a project in three classes. Instructor, Stephanie Mahr, Refresh; cost, $60, some tools and supplies provided.

Saturday, Nov. 11: From 10 a.m. to noon, Wire Bird’s Nest Pendant. Make a wire nest with “eggs.” Learn basis wire wrapping techniques and go home with a completed necklace. Instructor, Nadine Edris, Moondance Jewelry, cost, $40, all tools/supplies included.

Saturday, Nov. 18: From 10 a.m. to noon, Jewelry Making – Tree of Life.

All classes will be held at Provencher’s Landscape and Nursery, 299 River Road.
