MINOT — Marlene Nichols Fournier, of Minot, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Oct. 8. She was born in Auburn on April 11, 1937, to Dwight F. Nichols and Lillian (Stone) Nichols.

She will be remembered for her love of gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting, oil painting, house-building, dancing, crosswords, garage sales, card games, her loving dog, Baby, her delicious biscuits and all things chocolate.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lucien Fournier; and her two brothers, Robert Nichols and Dwight R. Nichols.

She is survived by her sister, Lillian Dawn Denham; her four daughters, Brenda (Doug) Bradley, Rhonda McLain, Darlene (Robert) Major, Louann (Norman) Gauthier; nine granddaughters; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
