AUBURN — Ronald K. Parsons Sr., 76, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, at the hospice house. He was born in Palmyra on Aug. 17, 1941, to Velman and Emily Knowlton Parsons. He joined the U.S. Army in 1958 until 1967. He married Kathleen Corson in Germany on July 15, 1960. Ronald spent many years as a truck driver and traveled all over the country. He is survived by his wife of 57 years; his children, Ronald Parsons Jr., Troyce Parsons, Laurie Jones, Helen (Bill) Moore and Kimberly (Dean) Pray; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one due in January; a brother; five sisters; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the caregivers from Togus Veterans Hospice and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice House.
