DIXFIELD — Winthrop defeated Dirigo easily Thursday in boys’ soccer, 6-0.

Jared McLaughlin scored two goals in the first half and Rowan Goebel-Bain added one in each half as the Ramblers ran over the Cougars. 

Derek Bucharme had 13 saves for Dirigo, while Ben Boulay saved five shots for Winthrop. 

Girls’ soccer

Brunswick 6, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — Brunswick trounced Lewiston in girls’ soccer, 6-1, on Thursday.

Anna Kousky led all scorers with two for the Dragons. Brunswick also received goals from Maeve Arthur, Isabella Banks and Sara and Lea Scrapchansky. Arthur also notched two assists.

Lewiston’s goalkeeper Gemma Landry saved 21 shots, while Beth Labbe saved seven for Brunswick.
