The phrase, “We believe that we will win,” along with drums and other instruments echoed through the halls of Mt. Blue High School on Friday morning as students and staff showed their spirit in the School Spirit Challenge sponsored by WGME Channel 13 to raise money and food for the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn. Several high schools across the state are competing to see which one will collect the most food and money and bring home the School Spirit Cup. Mt. Blue has collected nonperishable food items and $4,000 in cash so far. The drive will continue through Nov. 3. Local food banks work with Good Shepherd, so the donations help local communities.
