LEWISTON — Roger R. Laliberte, 71, of Lewiston passed away on Saturday, Oct. 21, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on August 13, 1946, a son of the late Reginald and Ida (Tuck) Laliberte. He attended local schools ,graduating from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1966. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1975. On June 10, 1995, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline and they were happily married for 22 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Webber Avenue Club. Roger worked at various jobs including Coopers Restaurant, The Central Maine Civic Center and for 22 years at Lewiston Public Works as an equipment operator, retiring in 2013. Recently he worked part time for The Maine Turnpike Authority until his illness made him unable to continue. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, cribbage with the boys at the Webber Avenue Club, but most of all Roger loved watching his grandchildren play various sports and other activities.

Roger is survived by his wife Jacqueline; a son, Michael R. Laliberte and wife, Kim; grandson, Isaac Laliberte; stepchildren, John Lewandowski and wife, Paula Ashton, Paul Lewandowski and wife, Mary Zwolinski, and Amy Laroche and husband, Erik; stepgrandchildren, Ava Zwolinski, Sara Laroche, Ruth Lewandowski, Walter Lewandowski and Samuel Laroche; a brother, Paul Laliberte; brother-in-law, Clarence Dubois; sisters-in-law, Arlene Laliberte and Doris Laliberte; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Robert Laliberte; sisters, Claire Dubois and Joyce Blanchette; and sister-in-law, Lois Laliberte.
