The L/A Nordiques scored in spurts Saturday evening in a 6-0 victory over Long Beach at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Five different players found the back of the net for the Nordiques. Evan Sullivan led the charge with two goals, while Michael Errico stopped all 11 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the season.

“It was nice to see Evan Sullivan chip in a couple of goals here tonight,” Nordiques coach Cam Robichaud said. “He had a great week of practice this week and was rewarded tonight with a couple of goals.”

After a scoreless first period in which the Nordiques outshot the Sharks 16-5, L/A started making its shots count in the second period, early and often. Clifford Ogle picked up his third goal of the season 30 seconds into the period, with help from Sam Frechette.

Nearly 75 seconds later, Shayne Plummer knocked in his ninth goal of the season. Caleb Labrie and Donovan Tahan recorded the assists.

Almost eight minutes later, Colby Audette potted his seventh goal of the season with Ogle and Frechette picking of their second points of the evening.

“Actually, our  second line was our best line tonight,” Robichaud said. “Sam Frechette, Cliff Olge and Colby Audette, they were really moving all over the ice. They had a good intensity.”

Labrie notched his second point of the game when he netted his 18th goal of the season. Cole Ouellette picked up the lone assist on the goal. Labrie’s marker came at the 10:43 mark, 1:10 after Audette’s goal.

Labrie has 36 points on the season to lead all players in the NA3HL.

Six seconds later, Sullivan stretched the Nordiques lead to 5-0 with his third goal of the year. Crewz Berry and Kyle Secor were credited with the assists.

Sullivan potted his second of the contest 8:42 into the third period with an unassisted effort.

Ryan Cortez made 38 saves for the Sharks.
