New Auburn Seniors to meet

AUBURN — The New Auburn Senior Citizens will meet Monday, Nov. 6. The meeting and open bingo will begin at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served for $4. 

Membership dues for 2017 will be collected. Dues are expected to be paid on the first Monday of the month. Those who cannot pay at the meeting may send payment and a self-addressed stamped envelope to Helen Marsh, 32 Chris Ave., Sabattus, ME 04280.

A Chinese dinner will be served at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20. Dinner tickets must be purchased at the first Monday meet prior to the dinner date in order to know meal counts.

All seniors 60 and older are welcome to attend Off-Monday Bingo on Mondays, Nov. 13 and 27. 

All functions are held at Sacred Heart Church. 

Donations for Longley Elementary

LEWISTON — Northeast Technical Institute’s Student Leadership Council is collecting nonperishable food items and new underwear and socks for the children at Longley Elementary School. Longley has approximately 350 students in grades prekindergarten to six.

The council is requesting donations be delivered to NTI’s Lewiston campus in the Lewiston Mall, 20 East Ave. NTI will collect donations until Friday, Nov. 10. They will be delivered to Longley Elementary School the week of Nov. 13.

Cribbage league to play

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League plays Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory, 65 Central Ave. 

Doors open at 8 a.m., and games will begin at 9 a.m. 

The league plays through April, but games are played year-round.
