I hold the Twin Cities near to my heart, as I have spent my entire life here, being fancifully entwined in all that Lewiston-Auburn has to offer. I graduated from Lewiston High School in 2014. I have made life-long bonds and connections to these neighbors of mine. To me, the merger is a chance at growing and thriving in my hometown.

The sad reality approaching, as I search for job stability and career fulfillment, is that I will not be able to consider this my lifelong home.

However, there is hope. Twin Cities residents are facing a great opportunity for economic and social advancement — to become one great force, nearly 60,000 strong.

I hope that anyone else in a similar situation as I am, and especially those people who have children (who should be afforded every opportunity that the area can provide) will join the effort and vote for progress on Nov. 7.
