TYNGSBOROUTH, Mass. — The New England Stars halted the L/A Nordiques’ eight-game winning streak with a 4-1 win Sunday at Skate 3 Ice Arena.

Derek Flynn and Connor Barter each netted a pair of goals for the Stars, who are in second place in the NA3HL’s Coastal Division, four points behind the first-place Nordiques.

The Stars built a 4-0 lead by the time L/A’s Sam Frechette scored a power-play goal off an assist by Cole Ouellette and Caleb Labrie.

New England outshot L/A 21-20.

The Nordiques and Stars split their weekend home-and-home series. L/A won Friday night’s game at the Androscoggin Bank Collisee, 2-1, when Colby Audet scored in overtime.

The Nordiques are now 13-4 on the season and have accumulated 26 points. The Stars are 10-3 with 22 points.
