FAYETTE — The wedding of Amanda Hawkins and Jake Farrar was held at 3 p.m. on June 17 at the Fayette Baptist Church. Pastor Christopher Blanche, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony and pianist was Jenn Blanche, aunt of the bride.

Mrs. Farrar is the daughter of Nels and Samantha Hawkins of Jay. Mr. Farrar is the son of Ricky and Robin Farrar of Hartford.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless satin gown with beaded and pearl overlay. She carried a bouquet of yellow and white roses with daisies and baby’s breath.

Shayla Crewse, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Whitney Gill, friend of the bride, Lexi Davis, aunt of the bride and Heather Fellman, friend of the bride. Sarah Hawkins, sister of the bride, and Payton Farrar, daughter of the couple, were flower girls.

Serving as best man for his brother was Jason Farrar. Ushers were Nick Farrar and Chris Farrar, brothers of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Ricky Farrar, son of the couple.

Levi Hawkins, brother of the bride, did a reading from the Bible and Kyle Hawkins, brother of the bride, gave a prayer.

A reception followed at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jay, after which the couple traveled to Old Orchard Beach. They are residing in Jay.

The bride is a 2008 graduate of Jay High School and Central Maine Community College. She is a stay-at-home mom.

The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Buckfield High School and is employed at AMI in Auburn.
