MCF offering grant writing workshop

FARMINGTON — The Maine Community Foundation will hold a grant writing workshop for nonprofits in western Maine from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the University of Maine, Student Center Room CR123, 111 South St.

The session will include general information about Maine Community Foundation grant programs, tips to write a strong grant application and an opportunity to ask questions. MaineCF staff will review the foundation’s Community Building Grant Program, which has an upcoming deadline of Feb. 15, 2018.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Reservations are required.

The snow date will be Friday, Dec. 1.

Legion planning Texas Hold’em

Doors will open at 11 a.m. and games will begin at 1 p.m. There will be 50/50, pull tabs, meals and beverages available.
