LEWISTON — Franco Center Chef John Pulsifer and his staff will be baking homemade pies for people to pick up on the days before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Orders can be made by calling the center for a form or stopping in any day between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

There will be a variety of fruit pies, including apple pies, blueberry, blackberry, cherry and strawberry. Soft filling pies will include lemon meringue, Boston cream, various custards and pumpkin.

The chef will make several cream pies, as well as Tourtiere (ground pork) and fresh red salmon.

The pies range in price from $12 to $16 (sales tax included). Gluten-free crusts and “no-sugar-added” fillings will be available for $5 each. All pies will be made to order and must be paid for at the time of the order.

The deadline for ordering is Saturday, Nov. 18, for Thanksgiving pies and Saturday, Dec. 16, for Christmas pies.
