LEWISTON — Theresa M. James “Terry”, 60, of Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lewiston on March 24, 1957, she was the fifth of 16 children to Roland and Rosalie Knowlton Pomerleau. Educated in Lisbon schools, Terry was a graduate of Lisbon High School, Class of ’76.

She worked as a CNA at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 37 years, retiring due to health issues. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, taking pictures of everyone and everything, traveling with her husband Rick, snuggling/spoiling her pets and especially loved time spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Richard James of Lewiston, her mother, Rosalie Pomerleau of Lisbon, two daughters, Tonya and husband Timothy Largay Jr. of Brewer, and Kelly James of Lewiston, a son, Andrew and wife Katie of Lewiston, two grandsons, Jameson and Harrison, her ever faithful dog Bentley and cats Bella and Smoky, as well as three grandpuppies Trixie, Sierra and Shelby. She also leaves behind her siblings, Joseph Pomerleau of Lewiston, Annette Kennedy of South Portland, Paul Pomerleau of Sabattus, Raymond Pomerleau of Lisbon, Kathleen Lord of Taylor, S.C., Jeannette Elliot of Lewiston, Robert Pomerleau of Lewiston, Marcel Pomerleau of Gardena, Calif., Armond Pomerleau of Sabattus, Dominique Pomerleau of Auburn, Eugene Pomerleau of Lisbon, Jean Pomerleau of Lewiston and Christine Hunt of Mechanic Falls. Besides immediate family, Terry will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and all of the wayward souls that she helped to nourish through the years.

Theresa was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents, her father Roland and brothers Ronald and Pierre Pomerleau.
