SUMNER — A fire late Monday afternoon destroyed a barn on Starbird Road.
Sgt. Tim Grimes of the State Fire Marshal’s office said Tuesday morning that he was on his way to the scene, at 35 Starbird Road, to assist the Sumner Fire Department with an investigation into the origin of the fire.
Grimes said the action does not mean foul play is suspected. It is simply a routine procedure.
No further information was available Tuesday.
