An opening reception for Julia Muzyka will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at The Hive Artisan Co-Op, Lisbon Street, Lewiston. Muzyka is a Maine native who creates original images conceived of bright color, bold contrasts and abstract design through a variety of mediums. Her work is inspired by music, nature and existential thinking. Her other hobbies include reading, films, exploring the outdoors, attending concerts, expanding her music collection and cooking.
