BIDDEFORD — Marie Beaule Therrien, 86, of Biddeford, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21.

Family came from miles away to pay their last respects. Marie was born Jan. 29, 1931 in Lewiston, a daughter of John and Yolande (Dostie) Beaulè.

On Oct. 25, 1952, she married Normand F. Therrien at St. Mary’s Church in Lewiston. They spent 65 years together.

Mom, a few years ago, you asked what would be written in your obituary. From the stories we were told throughout our lives we got to know you as someone who was mischievous. You were very shy, but you had close friends and that is where you, yes, did get into some mischief as a young child. You enjoyed the outdoors and that followed you throughout your life. You married your childhood sweetheart and what a life you had! Your laughter will always be remembered. Your kindness to family, friends and of course to all animals, even One Eye, our turtle. You spent your life caring for Dad, he was No. 1 and of course your talented in many ways children! Your nieces and nephews were also important to you. When the grandkids started to arrive, you were there to care for them the first days of their lives.

The fun times were spent in our backyard in Auburn when family would visit. You always had Thanksgiving at the house and your sisters and brother along with their families would sometimes grace us with their presence. Our memeres and peperes on both sides of the family were always at the house. For years we had a huge garden that you enjoyed. In the winter you flooded the backyard so we could skate or play hockey.

So many special, fond, loving and many crazy memories that we will always remember. The list goes on and it doesn’t stop here.

Mom, I hope when you read this that you know how important you were in not just our lives but in so many lives of others. Your life goes on through us. You have instilled in us the important ingredients of kindness, respectfulness, integrity, and not to judge. You have taught us to try before we say, “No, I can’t.” You should be very proud of who you were and what you accomplished.

You are loved by us all. You will always be in our hearts.
