Ben Tucker, a representative from U.S. Sen. Angus King’s office, congratulates Mary Ruchinskas at the dedication of the New Beginnings drop-in center for teens in Lewiston on Thursday afternoon. The new drop-in center was named for Ruchinskas, who worked with homeless youths for more than 30 years. The center assists in excess of 500 teens and young adults with services including hot meals, internet and computer access, work-search help, a free clinic and an infant care area.
