LEWISTON — Great Falls TV has established a new television channel dedicated to broadcasting Lewiston government meetings.

A city news release Friday said Lewiston meetings will no longer be broadcast on Channel 7. The city will instead have its own Channel 1301.

Dottie Perham-Whittier, community relations coordinator, said city meetings will still be available to watch live on Lewiston’s YouTube channel, where they are archived.

Great Falls TV was established in November 1999, in cooperation with the cities of Lewiston and Auburn and Time Warner Cable. The local access television also serves Lisbon and other surrounding towns. It’s on the second floor of Auburn Hall, 60 Court St., in Auburn.
