BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center announces auditions for William Shakespeare’s “The Tragedy of Macbeth.” Auditions will be held at the Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St. in the upstairs community room on Friday, Jan. 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Monologues of under two minutes are encouraged, but not required. Auditioners will also read from the script.

Rehearsals will be held in Bath on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays each week beginning Tuesday, Jan. 23. Rehearsals will be more frequent the last two weeks prior to opening.

Performances will be on the main stage of the Chocolate Church Arts Center, 804 Washington St., on June 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10. It is essential that auditionees bring a reliable conflict schedule to the auditions.
