CHESTERVILLE — Selectmen will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, to sign the final warrants of 2017. No other business is planned.
Nomination papers are available at the Town Office for two selectman seats. Papers must be returned by Jan. 26. Twenty-five signatures of registered Chesterville voters are needed.
A one-year seat is currently held by Tyler Jenness. In March, Ross Clair was elected to fill the remaining year of Paul Caldwell’s three-year term after he stepped down in December 2016.
In phone conversations Wednesday afternoon, both Jenness and Clair indicated they do not plan to run again.
The Town Office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
