NEW GLOUCESTER — “Maine Horse Doctor, On the Road with Dr J” is a collection of more than 100 stories about Dr. David Jefferson’s 48 years as an equine vet in Maine and New Hampshire.
Using true incidents from his mobile practice, he shares his views on responsible horse ownership. Some of the stories are funny, some sad, and some philosophical. All contain practical information for present or wannabe horse lovers.
Jefferson and his wife, Bonnie, live in New Gloucester and share their farm with two donkeys, a cat and a guinea fowl. They have two grown children, Jim and Tally, who attended schools in Lewiston.
The book can be purchased from Amazon and from the author at local book-signing events.
