FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.
Benny, age 13, is a male Parsons Russell Terrier. He’s looking for a home willing to let him be the older distinguished gentleman that he is. He’s a sweet old man looking for a warm lap to chill in. He comes with free health care for the rest of his life from Clearwater Vet.
Abby-the-Cat is a sweet, older girl who is diabetic and needs a family who is comfortable giving insulin shots on a daily basis. Abby gets along fine with other social cats, but is a little timid around dogs.
Benny, Abby and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
