Pine Cone Chapter, OES, to meet

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

The chapter will renew the obligation. The landmarks will be read, the associate conductress will give her lecture and the secretary will read the general information on the Grand Chapter Charity Funds.

The meeting will be preceded with a potluck supper at 6 p.m. All Eastern Star members are welcome.

RAQ to meet Jan. 11

RUMFORD — Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street, weather permitting.

Demonstration of a quilt square will be presented. All area quilters are invited and may participate in the show and tell part of the program.

Eagles to host Texas Hold’em

RUMFORD — The Fraternal Order of Eagles hosts Texas Hold’em poker tournaments on the second Thursday of each month.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. Games will start at 6 p.m. There will be a $50 buy-in, with a $5 high hand as well as a 50/50 raffle. The kitchen will be open from 4 to 6 p.m.

FARMINGTON — The SeniorsPlus office will be open for scheduled appointments from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Walk-in hours are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and will be held on the second Thursday of every month.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. These services are free and open to the public.
