I wish the elected officials in Augusta, who work for the public, would stop making life difficult for everyday people, such as myself, who rely on MaineCare. People need MaineCare coverage so they can go to the doctor and dentist, to maintain their health.

Some people in this state have low incomes and if MaineCare is taken away, how will those people be able to afford health care? People on fixed incomes have to live with what they have to keep afloat, to pay rent, buy food, for transportation and for medical bills, just as I do.

Maine’s voters spoke loudly on the issue in the November election. I hope Gov. Paul LePage and the Legislature heard the people’s voices. I ask that they please do not stop MaineCare expansion implementation, it would hurt many Mainers, including me.
