LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will hold a Power Lunch seminar on Lewiston High School’s Store Next Door Project.

The seminar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, in the chamber’s Community Conference Room, 415 Lisbon St.

Presenter will be Mary Seaman, coordinator for Lewiston High School’s Students Transitional, Experiencing Problems, which ensures that academic supports are in place for all high school students experiencing homelessness.

The mission of Store Next Door Project is to meet the basic needs of more than 300 pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students. The program attempts to eliminate barriers to education for youth experiencing displacement, high mobility and homelessness in Lewiston. The project relies 100 percent on community support. Most of the youth are living outside traditional family systems and do not have family members available for love, support and provision of tangible items.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to bring their lunch.

The seminar is free but registration is encouraged. Go to https://lametrochamber.com/ and click on “Events” or call 207-783-2249.
