PARIS — Julia Colby produced a team-leading 16 points to lead Oxford Hills’ balanced attack in a 54-41 girls’ basketball win over Gorham on Monday.

Maggie Hartnett posted 12 points, while Maighread Laliberte added another 10 for the Vikings in the winning effort.

Junior center Mackenzie Holmes poured in a game-high 26 points for the Rams.

Edward Little 55, Deering 33

AUBURN — Junior guard Jade Perry bucketed a team-leading 14 points, and Edward Little cruised to a 55-33 victory over Deering in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Red Eddies (7-3) came off a 4-4 tie in the first quarter with 12 unanswered points, and never trailed. Sophomore guard Hannah Chaput pitched in 13 points for Edward Little.

Junoir guard Delaney Hanies registered a game-high 20 points for Deering.

Dirigo 35, Wiscasset 33

DIXFIELD — Sophia Jacques scored a game-high 14 points as Dirigo edged Wiscasset 35-33 in girls’ basketball action Monday.

Lindsey Gordon tossed a team-leading nine points for the Wolverines (0-11).

Page Lueders posted six points for the Cougars (2-9). Dirigo scored 16 of its 35 points in the third quarter.

Portland 49, Lewiston 26 

PORTLAND — Gemima Motema and Davina Kabantu each had 19 points to pace Portland past Lewiston in a Class AA North girls’ basketball contest Monday.

The Bulldogs improve to 7-3 on the season.

Victoria Harris paced the Blue Devils (4-7) with 10 points, while Gabrielle Wilson had two points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Poland 53, Waynflete 32

PORTLAND — Natalie Theriault led Poland with 22 points as Poland defeated Waynflete 53-32 in a WMC girls’ basketball contest Monday.

Eight of Theriault’s points came in the third quarter as the Knights’ (7-3) pulled away in the quarter, outscoring Waynflete 20-4.

Jessica Seeley had 12 points in the victory.

Lydia Giguere led Waynflete (4-5) with 12 points.

Rangeley 65, Seacoast Christian 18

FARMINGTON — Natasha Hailey had a game-high 25 points as Rangeley defeated Seacoast Christian 65-18 in a girls’ basketball game that was played at the University of Maine at Farmington on Monday.

Brooke Egan had 11 points for the Lakers (10-2) in the victory. Both Hailey and Egan grabbed nine rebounds. Emily Eastlack had six steals to go along with her six points.

Katie Pilkington had 13 points for the Guardians’ (6-5).

Madison 50, Lisbon 34

LISBON — Sydney LeBlanc recorded a game-high 18 points to lead Madison to a 50-34 victory over Lisbon in girls’ basketball action Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs pulled away with a 14-4 run in the third quarter. Ashley Emery contributed 10 points for Madison.

Giana Russo collected 11 points for the Greyhounds on two field goals from 3-point range and five free throws in the losing effort.

Boothbay 55, Mtn. Valley 26

BOOTHBAY — Faith Blethen sank a game-high 24 points for Bootbhay in a 55-26 triumph over Mountain Valley in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Seahawks (11-0) led 27-17 at the midpoint. Page Brown contributed 14 points for Boothbay.

Freshman guard Rylee Sevigny tallied 10 points for the Falcons (8-3).

Mt. Abram 47, Hall-Dale 39

SALEM — Summer Ross garnered a game-high 25 points as Mt. Abram dispatched Hall-Dale 47-39 in girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Roadrunners (6-5) opened the game on a 24-4 run. Lindsay Huff chipped in 14 points for Mt. Abram.

The Bulldogs (2-9) closed the deficit to within three points with five minutes to play in the fourth quarter. But Ross went 6-for-8 from the foul line down the stretch to ice the game for Mt. Abram.

Sabrina Freeman tabulated a team-high 20 points for Hall-Dale.

Leavitt 29, Westbrook 23

TURNER — Sophie Gilbert stashed a game-high 17 points to lead Leavitt ot a 29-23 victory over Westbrook in girls’ basketball action Monday evening.

Kayleigh Gilbert made key rebounds and produced seven free throws for the Hornets in the winning effort.

Oak Hill 51, Carrabec 24

WALES — Desirae Dumais’ big second quarter helped Oak Hill to a 51-24 victory over Carrabec in a MVC girls’ basketball contest Monday.

Dumais scored 14 of her 23 points in the second quarter as the Raiders (8-3) took a 27-15 lead into halftime after ending the first quarter in a 7-7 tie.  Abby Nadeau had 14 points in the win.

Bailey Dunphy paced the Cobras (4-7) with eight points.

Boys’ basketball

Rangeley 59, Seacoast Christian 51

FARMINGTON — Senior guard Kyle LaRochelle recorded a double-double with 32 points and 10 rebounds as Rangeley fended off a late rally to earn a 59-51 victory over Seacoast Christian in boys’ basketball action Monday.

The Guardians (6-4) trailed 47-31 at the half, but came to within five in the fourth quarter. Senior guard Jet Archer furnished a team-leading 23 points for Seacoast Christian.

Freshman guard Kenny Thompson provided nine points for the Lakers (8-4).

Portland 80, Lewiston 48

LEWISTON — Senior guard Terion Moss and junior guard Pedro Fonseca pocketed 17 points apiece as Portland rolled to an 80-48 victory over Lewiston in boys’ basketball action Monday.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 25-8 lead in the first quarter, during which Fonseca scored 15 of his 17 points.

For the Blue Devils, junior guard Hassan Hussein netted a team-high 11 points on four field goals, including three from beyond the arc.

Westbrook 42, Leavitt 34

TURNER — Senior guard Landon Sjoberg drained 10 points to lead Westbrook to a 42-34 victory over Leavitt in boys’ basketball action Monday.

Jeremiah Alado made two back-to-back layups down the stretch to put the Blue Blazes (6-4) up by six. Westbrook made 3-of-4 from the foul line to secure the win.

Freshman guard Joziah Learned mustered a game-high 14 points for the Hornets (5-6).

Girls’ hockey

EL/Leavitt/Poland 4, Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic 0

AUBURN — Isabel Berube paced Edward Little/Leavitt/Poland with two goals in a 4-0 victory over Gorham/Bonny Eagle/Massabesic in a girls’ hockey contest Monday.

Taylor Callier had a goal and an assist in the victory, and Samantha Martineau scored once. Manny Guimond stopped every shot she faced for the shutout.

Boys’ hockey

Gardiner 6, Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison 0

READFIELD — Gardiner’s Cam Bourassa had a pair of goals to help Gardiner to a 6-0 victory over Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison in a boys’ hockey contest Monday.

Sean Michaud had a goal and an assist, while AJ Chadwick, Jake Wilson and Arthur Taylor each had a goal for the Tigers. Sloan Berthiaume had two assists for Gardiner.

The game resumed Monday with 5:24 remaining in the second period. The two teams orginally dropped the puck on Jan. 8, but had to stop the game when the lights went out in the Bonnefond Ice Arena because of a car accident nearby.
