LEWISTON — Dog owners must license their pets by Jan. 31 or pay a $25 late fee, City Clerk Kathy Montejo said.

So far, about 70 percent of dogs licensed in 2017 have been re-licensed for 2018, she said.

“We still have almost 650 dogs that still need to be licensed,” Montejo said.

Licenses are $6 for spayed or neutered dogs, $11 for others.

Dog owners must provide a current rabies vaccination certificate.
